The Whitening Gel
The BriteSmile light is used alongside the special whitening gel, which contains only 15 percent hydrogen peroxide as opposed to other gels that contain as much as 35 to 50 percent.
The ultra-safe gel is also buffered at an almost neutral pH level that is compatible with your tooth enamel. This gel is designed to react to the blue wavelengths of the BriteSmile light system. When the light illuminates the gel, it activates and safely speeds up the whitening process. The result is dramatic whitening in just an hour.
